RAM is transitioning from research and development of its microbial enhanced oil
recovery technology [MEOR] to full-scale commercial operations.
The company is dedicated to the proper design, development,
implementation and oversight of successful oil
recovery projects. Experience gained from years of field work in
the U.S. and, more recently in Poland, have validated our
Systematic Approach to MEOR project
development.
MEOR is not a single product or
methodology. Rather, it is an integrated suite of technologies
and scientific disciplines that work in concert to economically recover oil that would
otherwise remain stranded in the reservoir. Our goal is to design and
implement oil recovery projects that meet or
exceed our client's expectations for recovery
volumes and production cost.
MEOR materials and application methods are
determined on a project-by-project basis by evidence-based results
through a systematic process beginning with the preliminary development stage.
Our systematic approach affords oil producers
and investors the opportunity to make informed
go / no-go decisions at key junctures in the
process. This keeps project costs low
while providing assurance that proceeding to the
next step of the project is technically and commercially
viable.
Steps
in MEOR Project Development
- Review existing reservoir data
- Oil field is / is not a candidate
for MEOR
Go / No-Go - Proceed with
Laboratory Work
- Functionality evaluations
- Chemical analysis of produced oil
and water
Go / No-Go - Proceed
with Microbial System [MS] development
- Selection and optimization of MEOR
materials (laboratory testing)
- Economic and technical assessment
of Recovery Factor [RF]
Go
/ No-Go - Proceed to Phase I of Field Work
- Design and development of field
application protocols
- Produce and stage MEOR materials
- Begin Phase I - field
implementation
- Monitor / Adjust
- Production cost determination
Go / No-Go - Proceed to
Phase II
- Project continuation, expansion or
termination
